(Children
who are detained for games or other activities of the School and who normally
travel home by the School bus must make alternative arrangements for their
transport back home, as the school will undertake no responsibility for such
arrangements).

subject to the discretion of the Management.
Children are taken in at the age of
3+ in April.
In the case of Nursery admissions the Birth Certificate and the
Hospital Discharge Certificate must be produced at the time of interview. |

| If fees remain unpaid for two consecutive
months the name of the defaulter will be struck off the rolls without
any prior notification.
Re-admission at the committee's
discretion may be effected only on payment of re-admission fee of Rs
2000/- and all outstanding dues.
A fine of Rs 50/- shall be uniformly
applicable to all students for non-payment of fees within the prescribed
time limit.
School fees of all classes can be paid by
a/c payee "cheque" drawn in favour of "The Assembly of
God Church School" at Vijaya bank, 125/1 Park street, Kolkata on
any working day upto 10th of every month without late fine and upto 15
th of every month with late fine. |

Junior School Progress Reports will be issued triannually
at the Open House Sessions.
These will be issued to the Parents / Guardians only. For
the I.C.S.E. and I.S.C. Examinations there will be Rehearsal Tests. Parents are
requested to examine the Progress Reports carefully to see what progress their
children are making.
Class IX
students will not be allowed to change their subjects after 30th April.

1.The Promotion of a child shall be determined by the
Principal / Headmistress in consultation with subject and class teachers.
2. Promotion will be considered at the end of a School year
only. To gain promotion form one class to another, children must have spent one
year in the lower class and have fulfilled the conditions for class promotion.
3. When a child is admitted on a Transfer Certificate,
he/she will not be placed in any class higher than that for which the
certificate shows him or her to be qualified; nor shall he or she be promoted
before the end of the year.
4. Children failing twice in the same class will have to be
withdrawn at the end of the year.
5. Children failing more than twice in their school career
will have to be withdrawn at the end of the year.
6. N.B
: Students absent for any test will not be
given another test. In cases of illness, medical certificates must be submitted.
7. Attendance: A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory
for a student to be considered for promotion to the next class.
For Classes VI, VII & VIII
students are expected to pass
in all subjects. The pass mark for each subject is 40%.
For Class IX
Compulsory pass in English, Second language,
SUPW, History,
Civics and Geography and any two other subjects. The Pass mark for each subject
is 40%
For Class XI
I.S.C. Pattern
Compulsory pass in English and any three other
subjects. The pass mark for each subject is 40%
Please Note:
A
student who has not cleared all fees upto July / October / March will
not be allowed to appear for the 1st term / 2nd term / Final term
examinations, respectively. |

No
student is permitted to take private tuition, whether paid or
otherwise from any teacher of the Assembly of God Church School.

To withdraw a child from the School a full calendar
month's notice must be given in writing to the Principal, otherwise fees will be
charged for the month following that in which the child leaves.
The Transfer
Certificate will be provided only after all dues are cleared. Transfer
Certificates for those remaining in the State usually take a week to issue while
Inter-state T.C's require at least two weeks.
All T.C's are to be collected from
the Buntain Education Center, School Office.

(i) All pupils must wear the prescribed uniform when the
School is in session. For boys, black well-polished leather shoes with laces
(only Naughty Boy type) and black socks for classes Nursery to X, and white
socks for the Plus Two Section are required.
For girls, black well polished
leather shoes with buckles (only Ballerina type) with black socks for classes
Nursery to X, and white socks for the Plus Two section are required.
(ii) Students of the Senior School are to obtain blazers
(for winter months) from the authorised supplier.
P.T. Uniforms are as follows:
House Colour T -Shirt with printed Monogram, white shorts,
white trousers / skirts, white socks, white Power Keds or ordinary keds.
Track shoes are not
permitted.

The Principal is empowered to direct the withdrawal of a
pupil/s and /or remove the name of the pupil/s from the rolls of the School if
the progress and for conduct of such a pupil/s, in the opinion of the Principal,
is unsatisfactory.
The Principal is also empowered to remove the name of a pupil
from the rolls of the School, if the Principal considers it necessary for any
reason to be detrimental to the interest of the School and for the teacher/s and
/ or student/s thereof. The decision of the Principal as regards the aforesaid
shall be final and conclusive.
Parents / Guardians are liable to pay the cost of school
property broken or damaged by their child / children, and in addition
disciplinary action will be taken when such breakage is willful.
Hair: Girls -must be tied with black ribbon or black rubber
bands.
Hair: Boys -cut short - above the shirt collar and behind
the ears.
Hair must be free from lice and washed regularly. Nails
must be cleaned each week and no nail varnish should be applied.
Earrings: Small stud earrings' may be worn by girls. No
gold ornaments should be worn.
Nose rings, bracelets and so on are not permitted.
Jewellery worn for health purposes must be worn under the sleeves or
round the neck and should not be visible form outside.
Warning Slips :
A student will be issued warning slips for acts of
indiscipline and non-compliance of school rules and regulations. When the third
warning slip will be issued, the parents will be asked to meet the Principal.
The third time the parents are called the student will be given a Transfer
Certificate.

Punctuality is
essential at all times, and children who contravene this rule without a valid
excuse, will be penalised.
(i) Attendance on the day the session opens and closes is a
MUST.
(ii) A child must be on time for Assembly at 7:50 a.m.
(Junior School) and 8: 15 a.m. (Senior School). School gates will be closed at
8:00 a.m. for Junior School and 8: 15 a.m. for Senior School.
(iii)
Absentees, on rejoining school, must produce a letter
from their parents or guardians explaining the cause of absence before the
commencement of the class. As many children may not be able to return home;
should a letter not be presented the first day, the child will have to remain in
the Office. He / She will continue to lose attendance until the necessary proof
of sickness, etc. is provided.
(iv) Important: Medical certificates are necessary in cases
of sickness for over three days.
(v} Children who are absent for more than one month are
liable to have their names struck off the School Rolls.
(vi) Children afflicted by
infectious disease or who are exposed to such disease in their homes
must complete the quarantine period before rejoining school. This should
be indicated on the medical
certificate.
(vii) On Sundays and holidays children must not come to
school unless they have to attend a special class, or any other activity under
the supervision of a member of the school staff.
(viii) Students who are on leave during the school day will
not be allowed to visit teachers or hand in Files or participate in games on
that day.
(ix} Students on study leave needing to meet teachers or
attend tutorials, etc. during school working days are expected to attend in
school uniform.
(x) Appointments with Doctors during School hours are not
allowed.
(xi) Students must wear their P.E. uniforms on the days
Inter House Contests are being held.
(xii) Security deposit to be taken within one month of
leaving School.

Mobile Phones,
Cameras, Walkmans etc.
No student is permitted to bring
/ use a Mobile Phone, Camera,
Walkman etc. inside the school premises. Any of these found in the possession of
a student will be confiscated . A fine of Rs 500/- shall be imposed upon the
student. The student may also be subject to any other disciplinary action /
punishment as the school authority may deem fit.
Use of Unfair Means
Students who are detected in giving or obtaining, or
attempting to give or obtain unfair assistance or who are otherwise detected in
any dishonesty whatsoever during an examination or test, are liable to have
their results in the examination as a whole cancelled and the child will not be
granted promotion at the end of the academic year. He/She will be asked to leave
the school.
